Denver Photographer Sharlene Douthit of Simply Good Photography

Local Denver Photographer, Sharlene Douthit, has been taking photographs for as long as she can remember.

During grade school in Illinois she was shooting with an old Polaroid instant camera and would beg for more film as birthday and Christmas gifts.

She upgraded to disposable cameras in high school and kept Kodak in business with those repeat purchases. Eventually she bought her first 35 mm film camera and the creativity continued to blossom from there.

She studied black and white film developing at the Chicago School of Photography and has a deep appreciation and love of developing images in the darkroom. She switched to digital once she moved to Colorado several years ago and has enjoyed the smooth transition to digital images.

Sharlene started her own photography business in 2008 called Simply Good Photography.
